the dumpster started as a blank canvas as shown in picture #1. viewers were invited to interact with the sculpture and given the following instructions:
STEP 1: Utilize the notepad and pen to write down a negative and/or limiting belief about yourself. This can be something that you’ve heard in the past from others, a nagging notion that your brain just won’t let go, or something else. Whatever it is, write it down.
STEP 2: Crumble it, rip it, bite it – whatever floats your boat. Now, let’s get rid of it for good. After you’re done, throw it away in the dumpster.
STEP 3: Now, let’s celebrate. Take one of the paint pens and sign the dumpster however you please. Your tag is one small symbol of treating yourself a little kinder. Life is already hard enough – don’t let your thoughts beat you up, too.
