A NOTE FROM HENNY, FEARLESS LEADER OF ALL TOPiANS, HDW-WIDE, —

I know what you’re thinking. What is this place? In order to answer that question, I have to give you a little background about me and how my weird, chaotic brain got here…

I’ve always been an observer, above all other things. Fascinated by the world around me, always dreaming of another place that I wasn’t even sure I could reach. My own heaven — my own place where everything I ever dreamed of was my reality. As I aged and bore witness to both the extreme joys and sorrows of life, I quickly understood that the tangible world that we exist in can either be a utopia or a dystopia. We, the human race, are always somewhere in the middle, with pockets of hope and despair forever weaving into the everlasting thread of human existence. One constant keeps us going — the dream of pushing ourselves to that ideal place of pure paradise. I like to call this hopeful inbetween “TOPiA”, and we, its hopeful citizens, “TOPiANS”.

HENNYTOPiA is a visual representation of the world that exists in my dream. There is only 1 country, “TOPiA”, and all of the citizens are called “TOPiANS”. Character bodies are solely made up of and distinguished by their eye/hand colors, which are denoted by their emotions at any given time. Fingernail colors represent the secondary emotion they are feeling in that scene. Their colors can, will, and do change based on how they are feeling in any present moment, reinforcing the idea that we are all one and the same. There is no way to distinguish whether a character has been in a scene already. Maybe they’re all the same person, reflecting themselves to each other in different experiences that occur throughout life.
