The average person will never get to be a magazine cover star.

We believe that some of the greatest life lessons come from those around us. So much of our media, especially magazines, is dominated by celebrity culture. While they deserve to have their stories told (and the public is obviously interested), they are often telling them to journalists whom they do not know and/or have never met. While those conducting these interviews are undeniably talented professionals, telling your story to someone you know and love is a different conversation all together.

We see the value in the comfortability felt in the conversations that often are only heard by your living room couch. This is why TOPiAN only features individuals who have a sincere relationship with henny. Having this connection with interviewees allows the magazine to remain authentic in its mission to engage in genuine human connection, which is something we feel is missing from this space. Cover stars are chosen based on whatever creative inspiration henny is dreaming about at the time. The direction of each individual’s interview is a collaborative effort between themselves and henny.
